Some time ago we talked about Human Chair by design office KutArq, and today we bring you their latest work , Gradient Bookshelf. One interesting bookcase where the shelves diminish size and fade in colour as they rise up. These gradient shelves are side supported by two splitting panels.
“This bookcase is the result of combining an innovative structure with common materials and a very straightforward assembly system. Natural plywood and steel frames work great together and are linked by hidden screws, giving this aspect of lightness; the frames look like they are floating.
The product comes flat packed and can be assembled in a few minutes. The shelves are made from steel frames and poplar plywood boards. Each leg is a flat piece of phenolic plywood that is bent during the assembly of the components.
Dimensions: 211 x 43 x 210 cm”

Looking back into their projects Reversible Table and the awesome Coat Stand for Black Swan shop are between our favourites.

The clothes rack is composed by wood sticks connected with brass connectors and supported by ceramic cone weights filled up with concrete. This easy system provides a great flexibility as there are unlimited ways to shape it depending on needs.

We’ve also asked Jordi López, head designer of KutArq, about their future projects, and luckily we will be able to get this Easy Table very soon.
